Research Interest

My research focusses primarily on Structural Geology, thrust and salt tectonics, and how they interact during the development of fold and thrust belts by using a combination of fieldwork and geophysical data.

Since the development of a fold and thrust belt is slow and sometimes we miss information due to how they evolve, I collaborate with other geoscientists to reproduce faulting and diapiric processes in the laboratory so to better understand what governs the growth of the orogens and how they are impacted by inheritances. Also, because I am mostly a field-based geologist, I can work with a broad range of techniques that allows me to develop strong collaborations in a wide range of scientists and have a mutual benefit with our own research.

Although I have been working in several basins and mountain ranges around the world, my main focus is on the Southern Pyrenees and associated foreland basins.
